Central to the Work Alchemy series is Sprint Studio, a program for teams to create a new baseline way of working when projects or planning has started floating past the fill line.

[Acting as a virtual facilitator,] teams dive into a highly directed approach over the course of a month. Following a preset cadence, weekly activities direct practices for designing outcomes, welcoming constructive critique, and mapping insights from feedback. The emphasis is on generative dialogue to strengthen skills in collaborative sense-making and build genuine capability with dynamic problem framing approaches. Outcomes for the month long challenge include :

• building learning cycles into team workflows that yield better results for final projects

• increased translation capabilities in teams to recognize aligned action and priority tasks

• familiarity with appreciative inquiry techniques to support open dialogue

• fluency with holistic impact assessments that intentionally conducts measurement of important signals

• confidence updating task backlogs to correspond to scale of impact desired

The team will look at the big picture of initiatives, select one to scope with the end user’s experience in mind, design feedback loops to stress test assumptions against signals of assumed engagement, adopt meetings for decision-making, run general testing and routinely assess both their process experience and outcomes.
